There are totally 122 patients who are randomly divided into treatment group given by Tong Jing Ping and control group given by western drug. Treatment group has 82 patients including 62 primary dysmenorrheal and 20 secondary; control group has 40 patients including 30 primary and 10 secondary. Ingredients of Tong Jing Ping have Rou Gui, Xi Xin, Xuan Hu Suo, Xiao Hui Xiang, Wu Yao, Chen Xiang. Water decoction and two times a day are applied. Control group is treated by oral indomethacin with 25mg and three times a day, we begin treatment from 20th to 25th days after menstruation, continue 6 days and observe three menstruation cycles for both groups.
Treatment result: Total effective rate in treatment group is 92.68%; total effective rate in control group is 87.50%. There is significant difference between the two groups.
