1: Ante-dated menstruation will be treated after menstruation goes
Ante-dated menstruation is due to no ovulation and dysfunction of corpus luteum. Etiology is heat, deficiency and stagnation. In the clinic, most anti-dated menstruations are differentiated into deficiency and heat. The best time to treat is after menstruation goes, treatment principle is to nourish liver and kidney, clear heat and activate blood circulation.
2: Breasts distention before menstruation comes should be treated between menstruations
Breasts distention between menstruations is caused by extreme yin turning into yang, liver qi hyperactivity and kidney deficiency. Breasts distention is differentiated into liver qi stagnation. Breast cystic hyperplasia is manifested by breasts distention and pain between menstruations, cystic clots, even some patients feel uncomfortable sensation during ovulation that becomes worse and worse and is relieved when menstruation comes. Treatment principle is to regulate and promote transformation of yin and yang, patients should be treated by tonifying kidney an d regulating liver when ovulation comes.
3: Bleeding on period of ovarian follicle should be treated by regulating menstruation
Small amount of vagina bleeding can prolong menstruation into over 10 days after normal menstruation. Bleeding is caused by dysfunction of Chong and Ren meridians leading to stagnation in uterus and failing to control blood back to vessels. Treatment principle is to eliminate stagnation, stop bleeding for shortening period of menstruation.
4: Bleeding on period of ovulation should be treated before ovulation
There is cyclical vagina bleeding during tenth to sixteenth days of menstruation cycle. The characteristics here are not bleeding because bleeding is not too much but the specific time of menstruation cycle. The early and middle period of menstruation cycle are the time of essence transforming into qi and turning point from yin to yang, so bleeding on this time is due to yin and essence deficiency failing to transform qi and promote ovulation. The time of treatment is from fifth day of menstruation cycle, principle is to nourish yin and essence, clear heat and activate blood circulation to maintain enough estrogen level, treatment is stopped when BBT increases 3 days.
5: Bleeding on the period of corpus luteum will be treatment before menstruation comes
Bleeding on the period of corpus luteum is manifested by regular cycle of menstruation but from vagina dropping bleeding in the beginning to more bleeding until regular menstruation coming, patients often complain prolonged menstruation. According to clinical experience, no ovulation bleeding should be mainly treated by promoting ovulation, the treatment time is from after menstruation going to before ovulation coming; ovulation bleeding relates with dysfunction of corpus luteum, the treatment time is from after ovulation going to before menstruation coming, the method of strengthening spleen and tonifying kidney can benefit corpus luteum.
6: Endometritis should be treated during menstruation
Endometritis is mostly due to infection of endometrial injury, there is no exit for pathogenic factors if endometrial injury is recovered so that endometritis becomes prolonged. Endometrial functional layer is almost peeled off during menstruation, so toxic blood stagnation can follow to be peeled if method of clearing toxic heat and promoting blood circulation is applied during menstruation, treatment result is satisfied.
7: Tubal occlusion will be treated on the time of ovulation and menstruation
Tubal organic diseases, dysfunction of nerve for controlling tubal, or dysfunction of endocrine can affect normal pregnancy. Ovulation period is first time of transformation on menstruation cycle – after last menstruation stops, egg cell gradually grows up, so yin is more and yang is less until extreme yin will be transformed into yang that is ovulation; menstruation is second time of transformation on menstruation cycle – after ovulation, yang is more and yin is less until extreme yang will be transformed into yin that is menstruation. Blood circulation on tubal soft tissues and relative smooth muscle will be contracted during two times of transformation, so we can use this opportunity to induce treatment and increase effect. Treatment principle is to regulate qi for softening, activate blood for eliminating stagnation.
8: Threatened abortion and habitual abortion should be prevented by regulating body before pregnancy
Habitual abortion refers to 3 times or more of continuous spontaneous abortion. Although threatened abortion and habitual abortion are different degrees, the etiology and treatment methods are similar. Fetus relates with kidney of mother and is nourished by qi and blood of mother. Kidney deficiency or qi and blood deficiency fail to nourish fetus and cause threatened or habitual abortion. Clinically, most cases are deficient syndrome, specially kidney deficiency that fails to nourish fetus, not many belong to excess syndrome. Meanwhile, after pregnancy, yin blood of mother will nourish fetus so that yin will be more deficiency leading to internal heat. So in general, most cases are due to yin deficiency leading to internal heat. According to clinical experience, for the treatment of threatened or habitual abortion, we should regulate body before pregnancy to make body back to healthy.
