We apply indirect moxa with herbs and ginger to treat 30 cases of tennis elbow and tenosynovitis including 17 tennis elbow and 13 tenosynovitis.

Treatment method:

Preparation of herbal wine: we use herbs including Sheng Shouwu, Sheng Caowu, Sheng Ban Xia, Chuan Jiao, Ru Xiang, Mo Yao, Ma Huang, Sheng Nanxing, Zhang Nao etc and soak them into white wine ( or alcohol ), we cut fresh ginger into 0.3cm thick pieces then put pieces into herbal wine. According to the size of pain, we use one or two pieces of herbal ginger on diseased area, place moxa-cone on ginger, ignite moxa-cone so that herbs can penetrate to inside. If patients feel hot, we lift up ginger for a while then put down. When one moxa-cone ends, we will change another one. So each area should be stimulated by three moxa-cones, treatment is done once every one to two days, 5 times of treatment is one course.
