Internal Medicine

The treatment of chronic gastritis is mainly the symptomatoligic point selection. We treated the disease by acupuncture and received good curative effect

The Clinic Part
1 General Data:
In these 42 patients, 22 are inpatients and 20 are outpatients. The patients are divided into 3 groups which are below the age of 30, from 31 to 40, and above the age of 41; each of them includes 14 cases. 37 cases are superficial gastritis; 2 cases are superficial atrophic gastritis; 2 cases are atrophic gastritis; 1 cases is bile back flow gastritis.

2 Diagnostic Method
Besides the symptomatoligic point selection, all the diseases cases do the gastroscopy and EGG.

3 The Differentiation Of TCM
28 cases are disharmonious of liver and stomach; 10 cases are deficiency of spleen and stomach; 4 cases are deficiency and cold of spleen and stomach; no more than 10 cases are deficiency of stomach yin.

4 Treatment
4.1 The main prescriptions: CV 12, PC 6, ST 36,SP 6, Jiaji points on T5~9, T11~12. Symptomatoligic point selection: for disharmonious of liver and stomach, apply LR 3, LR 14; for deficiency of spleen and stomach, deficiency and cold of spleen and stomach, combine with moxibustion; for deficiency of stomach yin, apply GB 34 and KI 3.
4.2 Technique: puncture on Jiaji points first and retain for 15 minutes, then puncture on others and retain for 30 minutes.

5 Curative Effect Criteria And Results
Cured: the main and secondary symptoms and the tender spots on upper abdomen disappear completely and have improvement on gastroscopy and EGG; 6 cases. Excellent: the main and secondary symptoms and the tender spots on upper abdomen disappear basically; 18 cases. Improved: the main and secondary symptoms and the pressure pain on upper abdomen relieve some; 18 cases. Inefficient: no any change of symptoms. The total effective rate is 97.62%.

The zoopery part
A  Method: inject the HRP into the serous membrane of stomach, CV 12, PC 6, ST 36, BL 18 and BL 20. After medical treatment, made observations on segmental distribution of labelled cells in the ganglia spinale.
B Results: 1. inferior of serous membrane of stomach: the labelled cells can be seen in the C4~8, the whole thoracic ganglia spinale and lumbar ganglia spinale after injection. The labelled cells mostly locate in the thoracic ganglia spinale, especially in the anteroposterior C8 and less in the cervecal and lumbar ganglia spinale. 2. CV 12: the afferent neurons locate in the ganglia spinale of T7~L2. 3. PC 6: the afferent neurons locate in the ganglia spinale of C6~T1. 4. ST 36: the afferent neurons locate in the ganglia spinale of T12~S3. 5. BL 18: the afferent neurons locate in the ganglia spinale of C6~L1. 6. BL 20: the afferent neurons locate in the ganglia spinale of T8~L2.
The afferent neurons segments of acupoints coincide with the afferent neurons segments of large intestine on the morphology. It is possible that the coincidence is the morphology basis of chronic gastritis by puncture the acupoints above.

Conclusion
A The total effective rate of chronic gastritis treatment is 97.62%; better effect for the 30 year-old patients and the disharmonious of liver and stomach type.
B The prescriptions can regulate spleen and stomach, promote flow of stomach qi and strengthen the spleen to promote transportation and transformation. It is effective for the promoting the symptoms of chronic gastritis and better effect if the treatments are more than 20 times. However, it still needs the observations that if the more the better or not in treatments.
C As the symptoms improved, it is possible that the gastric mucosa of superficial gastritis changes or the EGG is improved.
D The zoopery indicates that the acupoints treatments have the morphology basis. And also indicates that the meridians, acupoints, organs and the related have basis on morphology.
