Application of scalp acupuncture for the treatment of enuresis ( 35 cases ) and frequent urination ( 10 cases ) has got effective result in the clinic.
Method: we choose foot motor and sensory area on both sides, we insert needle from anterior to posterior or from posterior to anterior with horizontal direction, rapidly rotate needles 3 to 5 minutes, take 5 to 10 minutes break, repeat this method 3 times and withdraw needle. Or after needling, we connect G-6805 electronic stimulation apparatus with continuous wave and 3 to 5 minutes stimulation. The best time for treatment is in the afternoon or night before sleeping.
Treatment result: effective rate for enuresis is 94.29% and for frequent urination 90%.
Experience:
1: patients with enuresis are mostly children before 7 years old, so they are very afraid of body points needling, because scalp acupuncture has very gentle sensation, children can accept it.
2: we should continue another 6 to 12 days treatment to prevent diseases from repeatedly occurred although enuresis and frequent urination are disappeared. Scalp acupuncture is still effective if diseases are repeatedly happened.
3: scalp acupuncture has no relation with duration of enuresis and ages of patients. Although patient is not young and disease lasts 10 years, one time of treatment cures enuresis; but scalp acupuncture is good for frequent urination with short duration.
