Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue.
The nerves innervating the areas of the points on the thumb, index and middle finger are from the median nerve; on the ring finger is from both the median and ulnar nerves; on the little finger is from the ulnar nerve.


Location:
Supinate the palm and slightly flex the fingers; at the tip of 10 fingers, 0.1 cun from the free border of the nails of 10 tingers.
Function:
Removing heat and promoting resuscitation.


Indications:
Apoplexy, coma, epilepsy, high fever, acute tonsillitis. infantile convulsions, and numbness of the finger tips.


Prescription:
Combined use with ShuigouGV26 (Shuigou (GV26)), DazhuiGV14 (Dazhui (GV14)), JiuweiCV15 (Jiuwei (CV15) Luo-Connecting Point) for treatment of epilepsy; with DazhuiGV14 (GV14), ErjianEXHN6 (EX-HN6) for treatment of high fever and sunstrok; with QiduanEXLE12 (EX-LE12), the Jing-Well Points for treatment of paraplegia; and with QuzePC3(Quze (PC3) He-Sea Point), LaogongPC8 (Laogong (PC8) Ying-Spring Point), WeizhongBL40 (Weizhong (BL40) He-Sea Point, Lower Confluent Point), XingjianLR2 (Xingjian (LR2) Ying-Spring Point), ShixuanEXUE11 (EX-UE11) for treatment of opisthotonus, convulsions and trismus.


Methods:
Insert the needle perpendicularly to 0.1-0.2 cun deep or prick to cause bleeding.
