Thick flavors are yin, and thin flavors are yang within yin. Thick qi is yang, and thin qi is yin within yang. The thick flavor causes Diarrhea, and the thin flavor promotes unblocking. The thin qi produces sweating, and the thick qi produces heat.
The strong fire debilitates qi, but the mild fire strengthens qi; the strong fire devours qi, but qi assimilates the mild fire. The strong fire disperses qi, but the mild fire promotes qi.
