Treatment of Aphthae Given by Method of Venesection Using Three Edged Needle [1]

There are 50 cases of aphthae who are outpatients. The disease histories are between 2 days and half year, the clinical symptoms include round or oval-shaped superficial ulcers on oral mucous surface, 1 or many ulcers with yellow secretion on the surface, there is redness or blisters which feels hot and pain around the ulcers. Treatment method: Jin Jin, Yu Ye, Si Feng, Laogong (PC8) Ying-Spring Point [3]. We use three edged needle with the method of pricking needling in Jin Jin and Yu Ye and release blood for 8-10 drops, in both Si Feng to release blood or yellow liquid for 4-5 drops. As for PC8, we employ acupuncture needle with the method of pinch-twist reducing, do not retain the needle. One time per day, 3 times are one course. We observe the effect after 2 courses. Result: effective rate is 100%.
