Treatment on 127 Cases of Stubborn Chronic Hepatitis B Given by Chinese medicine Combining with Needling by Bee Pin (Part I) [1]

There are 227 cases of stubborn Chronic Hepatitis B which were randomly divided into 2 groups, 127 cases in treatment group and 100 cases in contrast group. The data of the two groups is similar and it can be compared. Treatment method: according to the syndrome, the two groups were treated by herbal decoction combining with Yi Gan Zhuan Yin San (made from the herbs including Ye Xia Zhu, Zi Jin Niu, Di Er Cao, Gua Zi Jin, Ren Shen [3], Ling Zhi, prepared He Shou Wu [4], Sang Ji Sheng [5], raw Di Huang, Dang Gui [6], Chi Shao [7] Yao, Dan Shen [8], Hong Teng, San Qi [9], Yu Jin [10], prepared Xiang Fu [11], Tu Bie Chong etc). Among which: adding Chai Hu [12], Huang Qin [13], Mian Yin Chen if there are damp heat obstructing in middle jiao which are more severe in liver and gallbladder; adding Ge Gen [14], Huang Qin, Huang Lian [15] if the symptoms are severe in intestine and stomach; using Chai Hu, Bai Shao [16], Zhi Ke if there are liver qi depression invades spleen due to liver qi depression and spleen deficiency; using Dang Shen [17], Bai Zhu [18], Fu Ling [19] if there is spleen deficiency invaded by liver; adding Mai Dong, Nu Zhen Zi [20], Gou Qi Zi [21] if there are more liver yin deficiency than kidney yin deficiency; using Xuan Shen [22], Han Lian Cao [23], Tu Si Zi [24] if there are more kidney yin deficiency; using Dang Shen, Gan Jiang [25], Cao Guo [26] if there are more spleen-kidney yang deficiency than spleen yang deficiency; using Fu Pian (decocting first), Rou Gui [27], Yi Zhi Ren [28] if there are severe symptom of kidney yang deficiency; using Si Gua Luo, Xuan Fu Hua [29], baking Chuan Shan Jia [30] powder (dissolving in water) if there is blood stagnation obstructing collaterals. As for treatment group and contrast group, we dissolved Yi Gan Zhuan Yin San 1 package in herbal decoction, 3 times a day, as to treatment group, the method of Needling by bee pin, 1 time in 3-7 days. Three months are one course in both groups, continuously treating for 2-3 courses. Except for ALT, AST, TBIL, DBIL are abnormal, which mearns liver function should be checked in 1 month, checking HBVM, HBV-DNA and liver function in the end of every course.
