The author have treated 43 cases of migraine by ear acupoints press and received dramatic curative effect. The prescription: Apply Ear-Shenmen (HT7) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Primary Point [3], Subcortex, Heart, Liver, Occiput and Taiyang as the main points, and endocrine, upper sulcus auricular posterior, apex as the secondary points, applying bleeding for apex. The technique: The patients are in sitting position, and find out the sensitive spots with ear acupoints detector. Sterilize the auricle with 75% alcohol cotton; cut the green bean into half pieces, put the cross section of green bean on the 0.7×0.7mm size plaster, then press it on the sensitive spots with tender force. The patients has full, heat and pain sense, and ask them to press 3-5 times daily; one treatment for every 5-7 days, and five times is one course.
Result: The total effective rate is 97.67%, and the cure rate is 41.86%. The effect of ear acupoints pressing is good and immediate.(Generally, the syndromes will be relieved after once treatment, the effect results positively after 3-5 times treatments). patients should often press on ear acupoints to receive good curative effect. Better effect will be received if do bleeding on apex at same time.
