Experience of TCM Oversea Clinical Training
published on 17.09.2008, 11:09:34. Category: no category

Oversea TCM institutions generally pay more attention on the systemic management in teaching clinics, including: fixed healthcare process, team work, thoughtful arrangement of services, comply with supervisors, cultivate professional temperament, professional ethics, relationship between health professional and patient, clinic disinfection, medical records management, medical waste, clinical supplies and patient privacy protection etc.

Oversea clinical instructor of Chinese medicine needs to be good at foreign language, their own clinical experience as well as supervisory teaching experience. The clinical supervisor who possesses these qualities as a good teacher is somehow hard to find with. Since their role is so important that clinic director will not give up seeking. Therefore, following cultivation and upgrading for clinical instructors is an eternal topic of education.

Effective leading and managing is another key which cannot be ignored. Timing, advance case discussions, summed up at the end, practice guidance, and other sectors should follow a framework and implementation. In the guidance of individual case, supervisor personalized monitoring is to ensure the patient’s safety and treatment smoothly.

Oversea Chinese institutions pay attention on the interaction of theory and practice. Therefore the students usually have their clinic theater class at the first school year, and have their clinic observer shift started after some TCM foundation classes. The intern shift does not have to wait until the end of the last course. This is a good method to get mutual impetus.

Clinical training not only gives prominence to the key points of diagnosis and treatment, but also widely covers all the aspects. It resolves the short-term symptoms or acute problems, meanwhile has long-term plan for fundamental treatment as well as prevention of recurrence or follow-up tracking. The flexibility using of a variety of TCM methods offers students a well-shaped patterns, and the overall concept is conducive to their future conduct of clinics practice alone.

In order to maintain patient’s well being, coexisting with western medicine and other health care system is important. Clinical training leads students to expand their medical knowledge and learn from other health care systems. Promoting mutual understanding and development, it is a very good point in the clinical training.

Facial Beauty in TCM
published on 11.07.2008, 20:53:27. Category: no category
The facial acupuncture has facial beauty effect from clinical practice. Needles stimulate face points, such as Juliao (ST3), Taiyang, Yintang, Cuanzhu (BL2), Quanliao (SI18), Dicang (ST4), Baihui (GV20) and Chengjiang (CV24), that will smooth local qi movement, or bring qi upward to our face. Following the energy work, moisture stays on face skin, garbage excretes and adequate nutrition supply comes. Then we will have luster, less wrinkle, less spots and natural healthy color on our face.

We also know that Chinese beauty secret formulas have been circulated in palace which helped royal family members for thousands of years. In fact, these remedies against to age are not always mysterious; they are in accordance with the basic principles of Chinese medicine and basic properties of herbs into the configuration.

The human body is a unified whole, if one meridian does not function well the whole body system will have some problem. If the body overall situation in general is poor, the maintenance of beauty appearance will not be easy. Therefore, the systemic plan of facial beauty will be the combination of acupuncture and some Chinese herbs.

Facial acupuncture uses a very small and fine one-time completion of sterile needles. The treatment process in the sense of pain is very minor. Facial acupuncture combines with some body acupuncture and Chinese herbs, detoxification, nourishment, clearing stasis and balancing, all of them work together to achieve our anti-age effect.

Recognizing Cancer and Malignant Tumor through Yin and Yang
published on 16.06.2008, 11:33:37. Category: no category
By TCM standard yin-yang theory, we know that in general yin deficiency will cause yang deficiency. And if the patient’s yang deficiency isn’t corrected following this, the next stage is yin and yang both deficiency. This is absolutely right for many people.

But this may not fit for cancer and malignant tumor patients. What is cancer and malignant tumor in TCM diagnosis? Usually, in many views of practitioners, it has been considered to blood stasis and phlegm. I have a different opine through my personal clinical practice experience: cancer and malignant tumor is yin excess. It comes from yang deficiency. After the decreasing, the yang cannot function well as usual, cannot spread out yin, so the yin aggregation or accumulate then becomes yin excess-----cancer and malignant tumor will grow and come out. Therefore, the main treatment principle should be warm yang and dispel yin, instead of invigorate blood and remove phlegm.

TCM and acupuncture practitioners in western countries have been developed more authentic, more powerful and more energetic in this natural medicine field.
