1. To strengthen lung qi and soothe asthma; 2. To relieve leukorrhea


4 INDICATIONS
1. Asthma: a) asthma with stifling sensation in the chest and cough with profuse dilute sputum-Ginkgo seed (Bai Guo [3]) is used with Ephedra (Ma Huang [4]) and Licorice root (Gan Cao [5]); b) asthma with stifling sensation in the chest and cough with thick yellow putum-Ginkgo seed (Baiguo) is used with Scutellaria root (Huang Qin [6]) and Mulberry bark (Sang Bai Pi [7]) in the formula Dingchuan Tang.2. Leukorrhea: a) downward flowing of damp-heat manifested s yellow, odorous leukorrhea-Ginkgo seed (Baiguo) is used with Phellodendron bark (Huang Bai [8]) and Plantain seed (Che Qian Zi [9]) in the formula Yihuang Tang; b) deficiency of kidney yang manifested as whitish, odorless leukorrhea-Ginkgo seed (Baiguo) is used with Cinnamon bark (Rou Gui [10]), Astragalus root (Huang Qi [11]) and Dogwood fruit.

6-10 g


6 COUTIONS
Overdosage of the herb is toxic.
