Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-round pronator muscle-brachial muscle.
In the superficial layer, there are the medial cutaneous nerve of the forearm and the basilic vein. In the deep layer, there are the median nerve, the anastomotic branches of the ulnar recurrent artery and vein and the inferior ulnar collateral artery and vein.


Location:
Flex the elbow, raise the arm , cover the head by hand; at the medial end of the transverse cubital stria.
Function:
Relieving mental stress, and, removing the obstruction in channels.


Indications:
Precordial pain, spasmodic pain and numbness of the hand and arm, tremor of the hand, scrofula, pain in the axilla and hypochondriac regions.


Prescription:
Combined use with FutuLI18 (Futu (LI18) [3]) for treatment of hypertension; with NeiguanPC6 (Neiguan (PC6) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point [4]) for treatment of angina pectoris; with TianjingTE10 (Tianjing (TE10) [5]) for treatment of scrofula; with DuiduanGV27 (Duiduan (GV27) [6]) and BenshenGB13 (Benshen (GB13) [7]) for treatment of spitting spit; and with ShenmenHT7 (Shenmen (HT7) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Primary Point [8]), YinxiHT6 (Yinxi (HT6) Xi-Cleft Point [9]), TongliHT5 (Tongli (HT5) Luo-Connecting Point [10]) and QinglingHT2 (Qingling (HT2) [11]) for treatment of brachialgia.


Methods:
Insert the needle perpendicularly 0.5-1.0 cun deep; needling response: local sensation of distension and numbness; moxibustion: using 3-5 moxa-cones, or mild moxibustion for 10 min.
