“When Tai yang disease has lasted for three days and sweating has already been promoted, if vomiting, or if purging, or if warm needling has been used and still there is no resolution, this is an aggravated disease is which Gui Zhi [3] Tang should not be given.  Observe the pulse and signs, know what error you have committed, and then treat according to the signs.”

“After sweating is promoted, if there is aversion to cold, this is because of vacuity.  If aversion to cold is absent, and only fever is present, this indicates excess.  One should harmonize the stomach qi with Tiao Wei Cheng Qi Tang.”
