The Emperor inquired: “I would like to hear about the sudden pains of the five zang-organs. What is the reason?”

Qi Bo replied: “The qi and blood of channels run ceaselessly and circle incessantly. Cold evil aggresses on the channels, lingers there, and does not move if the cold evil resides outside the channels, the blood will be deficiency. If it resides inside the channels, the qi will be obstructed. So pains ensue suddenly.”
