Thick flavors are yin, and thin flavors are yang within yin. Thick qi is yang, and thin qi is yin within yang. The thick flavor causes Diarrhea [3], and the thin flavor promotes unblocking. The thin qi produces sweating, and the thick qi produces heat.
The strong fire debilitates qi, but the mild fire strengthens qi; the strong fire devours qi, but qi assimilates the mild fire. The strong fire disperses qi, but the mild fire promotes qi.
