Chinese Medicine Diagnosis / Differentiations [2]

We think that the clinical manifestations of deficiency-cold syndromes such as chill of body and limbs, clear and profuse urination etc are similar with Cushing syndrome due to adrenal cortical hormone raising. Then, we infer that the contents of adrenal cortical hormone have the certain relation with deficiency-cold syndromes. Research methods: 148 cases are checked and diagnosed by inspection, auscultation and olfaction, inquiry and palpation. 5ml blood of 8:00 is drawn; blood serums are separated by centrifuge, and preserved by cold. And then test the cortisol contents in blood serum. Do statistical analysis on results by SPSS software. Results: the degree of deficiency-cold syndromes and contents of cortisol shows the direct correlations.

Key words: deficiency-cold syndrome, cortisol content, relation
