1. Selecting fixed and comfortable position that patient can keep long time before the treatment, for instance: sitting position with face up, lying position with face down, recumbent lying position, lying position with face up and so on, this is to protect successful treatment.

2. Keeping certain distance from moxibustion head to skin for the patient with dull or disappeared sensation when performing treatment, specially on the face or for the children, this is to protect burning injury, blister, ulcer and scar left.

3. It is normal phenomenon if there is red on the skin after treatment, red color will be gradually disappeared. If warming sensation is too strong or stimulation is too heavy, blisters will happen, so management of blisters should be done right now. If blisters are not big, do not break and keep clean, blisters will be cured after several days; If blisters are big, penetrating along the skin with sterilized needle, letting off fluid, covering external sterilized preparation for protection, blisters will be cured after several days.

4. Patients who are over-worked, over-eaten, over-hungry, excessive drinking, loss of blood, over-thirst, over-fear, over-frightened and over-angry can not take moxibustion treatment; it is not advisable to perform moxibustion treatment on the abdominal region and low back of pregnant women.
