Location: The upper end of motor area lies 0.5 cun behand the midpoint of anterio-posterior median line and the lower end lies at the intersect of the supraciliary-occipital line and anterior border of temple.
Function:
Upper one-fifth: to treat paralysis of the contralateral lower limb.
Middle two-fifths: to treat paralysis of the contralateral upper limb.
Lower two-fifths: to treat facial paralysis, motor aphasia, dripping of saliva and disturbance of phonation.
