Dispel Wind & Stop Tremors

1 TASTE
Salty, pungent and neutral


2 MERIDIANS
Liver and lung.


3 FUNCTIONS
1. To subdue endogenous with and stop spasms; 2. To expel wind and stop pain; 2. To dispel toxins and disperse nodules.


4 INDICATIONS
1. Convulsions due to high fever and epileptic spasms. White-stiff silkworm (Jiang Can) is used with Gastrodia tuber (Tian Ma), Arisaema tuber with the (Dannanxing) and Ox gallstone (Bai Zhu) and Gastrodia tuber (Tianma).2. Chronic convulsions with prolonged Diarrhea due to deficiency of the spleen. White-stiff silkworm (Jiangcan) is used with Pilose asiabell root (Dang Shen), White atractylodes (Baizhu) and Gastrodia tuber (Tianma).3. Windstroke manifested as deviation of eyes and moth or facial spasms. White-stiff silkworm (Jiangcan) is used with Scorpion (Quan Xie) and Typhonium tuber (Bai Fu Zi) in the formula Qianzhen San.4. Wind-heat headache and lacrimation from exposure to wind White-stiff silkworm (Jiangcan) is used with Schizonepeta (Jing Jie), Mulberry leaf (Sang Ye) and Shave grass (Mu Zei) in the formula Baijiangcan San.5. Wind-heat sore throat. White-stiff silkworm (Baijiangcan) is used with Platycodon root (Jie Geng), Ledebouriella (Fang Feng) and Licorice root (Gan Cao).6. Rubella and itching. White-stiff silkworm (Jinagcan) is used with Cicada slough (Chantu7. i) and Mentha (Bo He).7.Scrofula. White-stiff silkworm (Jiangcan) is used with Tendrilled fritillary bulb (Chuan Bei Mu) and Prunella spike (Xiankucao).


5 DOSAGE
3-10 g


6 COUTIONS
The raw substance is used for wind-heat syndrome, the fried substance for other applications.
