Functions and indications: Nourish yin, clear lung heat, produce body fluid. It is used for lung heat leading to cough and sticky sputum; stomach yin deficiency leading to dry mouth; heart yin deficiency leading to irritability.
Precautions: Not used for phlegm and damp.
