Regional Anatomy:
Kuangu (EX-LE 1) on the lateral side: Skin-subcutaneous tissue-lateral muscle of thigh.
In the superficial layer, there are the anterior cutaneous branches of the femoral nerve and the lateral cutaneous nerve of the thigh. In the deep layer, there ara the branches or tributaries of the descending branches of the lateral circumflex femoral artery and vein.
Kuangu (EX-LE 1) on the medial: Skin-subcutaneous tissue-medial of thigh.
In the superficial layer, there are the anterior cutaneous branches of the femoral nerve.In the deep layer, there are the muscular branches of the femoral artery and vein.


Location:
Sit upright with knee joints flexed or lie supinely; firstly, locate LianquanCV23(Lianquan (CV23)), 1 cun lateral to LianquanCV23(CV23).
Function:
Regulating the functions of the joints of the lower limbs.


Indications:
Rheumatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and paraparesis.


Methods:
Insert the needle perpendicularly to 0.5-1 cun deep; needling response: local soreness and numbness, with the sensation radiating toward the knee; moxibution: 3-7 moxa-cones, or mild moxibustion for 5-15 min.

This cannot possibly be a correct location if this is a point on the thigh as CV23 is in the neck. It's not GV23 either since that is on the head.
