Regional Anatomy:
The medial point: Skin-subcutaneous tissue-between tendons of long palmar muscle and radial flexor muscle of wrist-superficial digital flecor muscle-median nerve-long flexor muscle od thumb-interosseous membrane of forearm.
In the superficial layer, there are the lateral cutaneous nerve of the forearm and the tributaries of the median brachial vein. In the deep layer, there are the median nerve and the median artery.
The lateral point: skin-subcutaneous tissue-between radial flexor muscle of wrist and tendon of brachioradial muscle-superficial flexor muscle of fingers-long flexor muscle of thumb.
In the superficial layer, there are the lateral cutaneous nerve of the forearm and the tributaries of the cephalic vein. In the deep layer, there are the radial artery and vein.


Location:
Stretch the arm and supinate the palm; at the same level of the border between the middle and lower third of the distance between QuzePC3(Quze (PC3) He-Sea Point) and DalingPC7(Daling (PC7) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Source Point), on the left and the rignt side of tendon of radial flexor muscle of wrist, 4 points on the two hands.
Function:
Removing obstruction from the intestines and relaxing muscles and tendons.


Indications:
Hemorrhoids and prolapse of the rectum.


Prescription:
Combined use with BaihuiGV20 (Baihui (GV20)), ZhishiBL52 (Zhishi (BL52)) and ChangqiangGV1 (Changqiang (GV1) Luo-Connecting Point) for treatment of prolapse of the rectum and hemorrhoids; and with ChangqingGV1 (GV1), YaoyangguanGV3 (Yaoyangguan (GV3)), CiliaoBL32 (Ciliao (BL32)), ErbaiEXUE2 (EX-UE2), and SanyinjiaoSP6 (Sanyinjiao (SP6)) for treatment of homorrhoids.


Methods:
Insert the needle perpendicularly to 0.5-0.8 cun deep; needling response: local soreness and distension, or electric shock sensation radiating to the tips of the fingers; moxibustion: using 3-5 moxa-cones, or mild moxibustion for 5-10 min.
