It is realized that, in recent years, the cause of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis can be eliminated, and even the pathological change may be reversed after appropriate treatment. The herbs with functions of promoting blood circulation by removing stasis have clear effect on liver fibrosis, some herbs are known globally having functions of restraining or even dissolving fibers. The methods of promoting blood circulation by removing stasis of herbs are applied on anti-liver fibrosis in the following ways:
1. Improving microcirculation
2. Inhibition of inflammation of the liver
3. Inhibition of hepatic stellate cells (HSC) activation and value-added
4. Regulation of collagen synthesis and degradation
5. Anti-oxidation
