Gynecology and Obstetrics

There are 22 patients including 18 with ages from 42 to 55 and 4 with ages more than 55, 7 of them have amenorrhea. Treatment method: Xinshu (BL15) ( Xinshu (BL15)), Geshu (BL17) (Geshu (BL17)), Ganshu (BL18) (Ganshu (BL18)), Pishu (BL20) (Pishu (BL20)), Shenshu (BL23) (Shenshu (BL23)) on both sides, Guanyuan (CV4) Front-Mu Point of the SmallIntestine (Guanyuan (CV4) Front-Mu Point of the SmallIntestine), Qihai (CV6) (Qihai (CV6)), Zhongwan (CV12) Front-Mu Point of the Stomach (Zhongwan (CV12) Front-Mu Point of the Stomach), Shanzhong (Danzhong (CV17) Front-Mu Point of the Pericardium), choose 2 to 3 points from bladder meridian and same from conception vessel, modification of symptoms with treatment on Baihui (GV20) (Baihui (GV20)), Zusanli (ST36) He-Sea Point (Zusanli (ST36) He-Sea Point), Yinyingquan (Yinlingquan (SP9) He-Sea Point), Yanglingquan (GB34) He-Sea Point, Influential Point of Tendon (Yanglingquan (GB34) He-Sea Point, Influential Point of Tendon), Sanyinjiao (SP6) (Sanyinjiao (SP6)) etc, 10 days treatment is one course, then take 1 to 3 days break, continue 2 to 4 treatment courses. Menopause is mostly caused by liver and kidney yin deficiency, then yang deficiency, and finally both yin and yang deficiency. Acupuncture treatment for only yin deficiency; acupuncture later cupping for yin and yang deficiency with selection on 2 to 4 points and 15 minutes retaining cups. Result: after needling on back-shu and frontal-mu points with cupping, 65% of total 22 patients with symptoms of tidal fever, sweating, irritability, dizziness, headache, palpitation feel improvement after one course. 20 patients with symptoms of soreness on the back, cold legs, poor appetite, and loose stool are recovered after 2 to 3 courses. 2 patients feel no improvement; total effective rate is 90%, long term effect is good.
