Chronic cough with asthma comprise chronic bronchitis, emphysema of lung, pulmonary heart disease, bronchial asthma etc, which are caused by recurrent respiratory chronic inflammation resulting in an irreversible disease. The symptoms include cough and asthma. It is specially severe during autumn and winter. There are 110 inpatients and outpatients in the two groups (56 patients in treatment group and 54 patients in contrast group), all the patients accord with the diagnostic standard of chronic bronchitis. In treatment group, the patients are given Gui Fu Di Huang Wan in July and September each year, oral taking 10g per time, 3 times per day, 25 days are one course. As for contrast group, the patients are given general treatment: adding 3.0g Cefalexin penicillin to 100ml 0.9% physiological saline, intravenous drip, 2 times per day, oral taking Bricanyl or Ding Chuan Tablet, 2 tablets each time, 3 times per day. Treatment result: the total effective rate is 92.86 in treatment group and 83.33 in contrast group.
