External Humeral Epicondylitis Treated with Acupuncture and Warming MoxibustionPosted by: admin on Jul 13, 2009 - 01:38 AMThese 71 cases of external humeral epicondylitis came to our clinic within 2 weeks after outbreak. Treatments: the local points are mainly applied, and the acupoints of Hand-yangming are applied according to the principle of selecting acupoints of the corresponding meridian. Puncturing on tender points perpendicularly, and then puncturing obliquely with 45 degree 0.5~1cm from the tender points. Inserting Quchi (LI11) He-Sea Point, Zhouliao (LI12), Shousanli (LI10) and LI 4 with qi arrival. Retaining needles for 20~30 minutes, and manipulating needle every 5 minutes. Cutting the fresh ginger into thin pieces, with 3cm of diameter and 0.2cm~0.3cm thick, puncturing holes on it and putting it on tender points of elbows. Burning the moxa cone lied on ginger till the skin gets warm. Repeating it for 6~7 cones, and keeping the skin ruddy without blister. The both methods are applied every daa and 7 days treatment make one course. And then they are applied the every other day. Results: the total effect is 99%.
