The differentiations of obsession:
(1) at least one of the syndromes is indicated as follows: obsessive thought, obsessive emotion, obsessive intention and compulsive act. For the patients who are in severe degree, the efficiency of work and study drops obviously. The daily life is effected also. The disease course is more than 3 months. Brain organic disease, schizophrenia and depression are excluded.
(2) the differentiations are stagnation of liver qi, liver fire due to stagnation of liver qi, damage of mind due to depression, deficiency of both heart and spleen, yin deficiency and excess of fire.
Prescriptions: Ear-Shenmen (HT7) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Primary Point, heart, subcortex, liver and brain stem. Adjunct auricular points: for liver fire due to stagnation of liver qi, ear apex is added; for damage of mind due to depression, insomnia is added; for deficiency of both heart and spleen, spleen and lower intestine are added; for yin deficiency and excess of fire, triple energizer, endocrine and kidney are added. Pressing on the seeds for 3～5 times a day, and getting warm as suitable. It is changed and pressed every two days; one month is made one course and the whole process lasts for 1～3 courses. Both ears are treated alternately.
