General Introduction of Six Meridians Differentiation-Yangming Stage (part IV)

The heat is mixed with formed-evil (indigested food, stool etc.) stasis in the middle jiao and lower jiao, causing the yang door close disorder. This is the formed evil in the Yangming stage, so treats it with Cheng Qi Tang, and purges the formed evil heat. If it is with dryness, the treatment will be moisten and purge, the formula are Ma Zi Ren Wan, or honey.
