A part of the fluids from the five cereals is mixed into viscous and thick material, which exudes into the bones nourishing the brain and marrow, and flowing downward to the femur.
If the yin and yang are uncoordinated, this kind of fluid spills and flows downward to the external genitalia. The fluids of the marrow decrease and flow downward. Too much of this can induce deficiency. The deficiency may cause painful back and loins, and feeble shanks.
