TCM Herbal Treatment Research for AIDS (Part II)

The herbs with clearing heat and relieving toxicity, precaution-treatment function toward AIDS are listed as following:

5. Tian Ji Huang: it can inhibit Staphylococcus aureus, streptococcus pneumoniae, streptococcus, mycobacterium tuberculosis, it may also decrease the function of GPT. It has the function of clearing heat, relieving toxicity, invigorating flow of blood, resolving stagnation; it can be used for hepatitis, liver cancer, intestinal carbuncle, furuncle swollen, HIV infection etc.

6. Hu Zhang: another name is Ban Zhang, Ku Zhang. It can reduce serum cholesterol, lower the blood pressure, inhibit the function of E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus aureus, herpes simplex virus, it may clear heat, relieve toxicity, invigorate flow of blood, resolve  turgescence, dispersing obstruction, research finds that Hu Zhang is effective for AIDS.

7. Synthetic Niu Huang: it is dry powder of animal’s (pig, cow, goat) bile. It has the function of diastolic blood vessels, anti- acetylcholine, protecting liver, increasing bile secretion, the precaution of convulsion, it can lower the blood pressure evidently, calm down mind, stopping pain. It can be used for heat toxin ulcer, scrofula, subcutaneous nodule, cancer pain etc which belong to heat toxin stasis disease, the dosage should be 0.5-1g.

8. Raw Gan Cao: it has function of adrenocorticotropic hormone-like, relieving toxicity, regulating immune function etc, the root’s extract “Ni Ge Li Lu” has strong function of inhibiting HIV, it can strengthen anti-virus ability of the body, it has no side effect, and it is one effective anti-AIDS herb.

9. Huang Qi: it can be used for qi-blood deficiency, draining pus to promote healing, increase immunity capability.

10.  He Shou Wu: it can promote genuine qi, nourish yin, increase immunity capability.
