Chorea minor is a clinical manifestation of acute rheumatism and more common in children. Chorea minor is a sub acute disease with choreic movement typical of diseases in the basal ganglia. The symptoms are not very obvious at its early stage. The children tend to be more irritable and less quiet. Then the concentration problem will show when they study; the movement of their limbs will become clumsy; their gait will become unsteady.  The patient will be more and more difficult to hold things firmly and the handwriting will be badly scrawled. As the disease progresses, an involuntary quick, jerky, irregular and nonsensical movement may first appear in one limb and spread to another limb of the same side and finally to the limbs of the contralateral side. The patient may frequently knit eyebrows and wink eyes when the facial muscles are also affected. Light hemiplegia and derangement may occur.

The Selection of Stimulation: Chorea and tremor controlling area on the opposite side of the symptoms, or on both sides if the symptoms occur on both sides.

The therapeutic effect is more satisfactory for juvenile chorea than for other types of chorea. The increase of red blood cell sediment rate may return to normal level along with the relief of the symptoms.
