Cerebral Injury

Scalp Acupuncture

Cerebral injury is one kind of common traumas. It places at the first rank in mortality, even though it just makes up 20% of total physical injuries. 

Organic brain injury is contusion and laceration of the brain. There are opened type and closed type of cerebral injuries. The patient may have coma at beginning and develop such localized physical symptoms such as hemiplegia and aphasia.

The Selection of Stimulation: The motor area, sensory area, the motor and sensory area of foot on the opposite side of the physical symptoms.

Emergent surgical operation will be first adopted to make the patient's conditions under control at the acute stage of brain injury. Once the patient's consciousness is restored, scalp acupuncture can be applied to treat the physical symptoms of hemiplegia and aphasia etc. Usually scalp acupuncture needles the motor area and sensory area, can produce a quick and effective cure to hemiplegia and aphasia. Also it is particularly effective for closed-type cerebral injury of infant.
