Scalp Acupuncture

Cerebral embolism is a cerebrovascular disease due to the blockade of the carotid artery or cerebral artery. It often happens in patient with stenosis of mitral valves of the heart. The onset of the disease is prompt without any prodromal symptoms. It may turn into a crisis within a very short time.

The Selection of Stimulation: The motor area, sensory area, the motor and sensory area of foot on the opposite side of the physical symptoms.

Scalp acupuncture should be applied until the clinical symptoms are under control. Scalp acupuncture is less effective for cerebral embolism than it is for cerebral thrombosis. There is a close relationship between therapeutic result and the location of the embolus.
