Cupping Therapy

This method combines needling with cupping.
1. Needling then cupping on the needle: after patient feels qi arrival due to needling, we apply cupping on the needle with glass transparent cup. Needle body should not be long, otherwise, needle will be inserted quite deep to injure internal tissues after subpressure given by cupping. This method is not allowed on the back for prevention of pneumothorax.

2. Cupping after withdrawing needle: after we withdraw needle, we perform cupping on the place of needling, take out cup after 5 to 10 minutes.

3. Bleeding and cupping: we apply three edged needle to prick skin for causing blood, then perform cupping to get certain amount of blood. This method is used for febrile disease, blood stagnation, wind-cold, wind-heat etc.
