Seminal Emission

Internal Medicine

Type 1: Nocturnal emission
Symptoms:
Dreaminess, spermatorrhea with frequent erection of penis, emission occurs several times a night or once several nights or accompanied with premature ejaculation. Dizziness, irritability, insomnia, soreness of the loins, tinnitus, brownish urine, red tongue, tiny and rapid pulse.
Principle of treatment:
Clearing away the heart evil fire. Nourishing yin and stopping the emission with astringent. Select Back-Shu points, the points from the Ren Meridian,the Liver Meridian of Foot-Jueyin. Puncture the points with reducing method.
Prescription:
Xinshu (BL15) ( Xinshu (BL15)), Shenshu (BL23) (Shenshu (BL23)), Guanyuan (CV4) Front-Mu Point of the SmallIntestine (RN4), Zhongfeng (LR4) Jing-River Point (Zhongfeng (LR4) Jing-River Point)
Modification according to symptoms:
For insomnia, Shenmen (HT7) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Primary Point (Shenmen (HT7) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Primary Point), Lidui (ST45) Jing-Well Point (Lidui (ST45) Jing-Well Point) are added. For dizziness, Baihui (GV20) (DU20) is added.
Type 2: Spermatorrhea
Symptoms:
Spermatorrhea without dream or even at the sight of female. Frequent spermatorrhea, soreness and cold in the waist, pallor, mental weariness, listlessness, or accompanied with impotence,transpiration, shortness of breath; pale tongue with white fur, thin or tiny and rapid pulse.
Principle of treatment:
Benefiting and restoring kidney energy. Nourishing yin by astringents. Select the points from the Ren Meridian, Back-Shu points and the Spleen Meridian of Foot-Taiyin. Reinforcing method and moxibustion are adopted.
Prescription:
Qihai (CV6) (RN6), Sanyinjiao (SP6) (Sanyinjiao (SP6)), Zhishi (BL52) (Zhishi (BL52)), and Shenshu (BL23).
Modification according to symptoms:
For transpiration, Yinxi (HT6) Xi-Cleft Point (Yinxi (HT6) Xi-Cleft Point), Zusanli (ST36) He-Sea Point (Zusanli (ST36) He-Sea Point) are added. Apply moxibustion at Feishu (BL13) (Feishu (BL13)) for shortness of breath.
Cautions and precautions:
About from acupuncture treatment,, the patient's worry should be wiped off. The patient should overcome the factors leading to emission, pay attention to mental hygience, establish good habits and customs, and persist in suitable physical training, which are conducive to improving the curative effect.
