Internal Medicine

We apply differentiation of herbal medicine to treat noninsulin-dependent diabetes and obtain good effect. Shortest duration of noninsulin-dependent diabetes is four months and longest 10 years. 3 cases combine with hypertension, 12 with myocardial strain or ischemia, irregular cardiac beats, 5 with cerebral vascular diseases, 1 with diabetic nephropathy and 3 with retinopathy.


Treatment methods: we differentiate into two types including 41 cases of qi and yin deficiency, 25 cases of blood stagnation. Qi and yin deficiency: using Huang Qi, Tai Zi Shen, Bai Shao, Ge Gen, Mai Men Dong, Tian Hua Fen, Ze Xie, Niu Bang Zi and modifying according to symptoms; blood stagnation: Dan Shen, Sheng Di Huang, Chi Shao, Dang Gui, Ren Shen, Mai Men Dong, Chuan Xiong, Shui Zhi, Ze Lan and modifying according to symptoms.


Usage: once a day ( decoction ), one month treatment becomes one course, and patients continue 3 to 4 courses, blood sugar and urinary sugar are tested before food intake once a week. All of patients should limit food intake and gradually reduce dosage of western drug until stop intake of western drug after two months.


Effect: total effective rate is 86.8%
