Tai Ji

Relaxed: The whole body and mind should be relaxed from up to down, from left to right, from internal to external. Then relaxation can bring qi circulating easily.

Soft: Softness is stronger than hardness (water flowing long time can penetrate a hard stone), softness can helps qi to flow easily.

Continuous: The movements are continuous without any break, so that qi circulation can be continuous to distribute on the whole body from one meridian to the other.

Slow: Movement in Tai Ji Quan is usually slow. This slowness helps to easily concentrate mind and movements, allow qi to circulate all over the body.

Coordinated: The movements of styles correspond with different meridians and internal Zang-Fu organs, so the whole body can become one unified entity.
