Self Massage

1. Prescription
Head and Face: Taiyang, Baihui (GV20), Fengchi (GB20), Jiaosun (TE20), Yintang, Shenting (GV24), Cuanzhu (BL2).
Neck and Shoulder: Qiaogong, Jianjing (GB21).
Chest and Abdomen: Shangwan (CV13), Zhongwan (CV12) Front-Mu Point of the Stomach, Jianli (CV11), Danzhong (CV17) Front-Mu Point of the Pericardium, Guanyuan (CV4) Front-Mu Point of the SmallIntestine, Tianshu (ST25) Front-Mu Point of the Large Intestine, Qihai (CV6).
Back and Lumbar Region: Feishu (BL13), Xinshu (BL15), Geshu (BL17), Danshu (BL19), Pishu (BL20), Qihaishu (BL24).
Arm: Neiguan (PC6) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point, Shenmen (HT7) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Primary Point, Laogong (PC8) Ying-Spring Point, Waiguan (TE5) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point, Hegu (LI4) Yuan-Source Point.
Leg: Xuehai (SP10), Zusanli (ST36) He-Sea Point, Sanyinjiao (SP6), Yongquan (KI1) Jing-Well Point.


2. Technique of Massage
2.1 Rub abdomen: palmar-rub whole abdomen with clockwise and anticlockwise for 36 times respectively.
2.2 Press-knead CV13 for 1.5-2 minutes.
2.3 Press-knead CV12 for 1.5-2 minutes.
2.4 Press-knead CV11 for 1.5-2 minutes.
2.5 Press-knead CV17 for 2-5 minutes.
2.6 Press-knead CV4 for 1.5-2 minutes.
2.7 Press-knead ST25 for 1.5-2 minutes.
2.8 Thumb-press and knead CV6 for 2-5 minutes.
2.9 Thumb-press and knead SP10 for 2-5 minutes.
2.10 Thumb-press ST36 for 1.5-2 minutes.
2.11 Thumb-press SP6 for 1.5-3 minutes.
2.12 Thumb-knead PC6 for 3-5 minutes.
2.13 Thumb-knead TE5 for 3-5 minutes.
2.14 Middle finger-press BL13 for 1.5-2 minutes.
2.15 Press BL15 for 2-3 minutes.
2.16 Thumb-knead BL17 for 1.5-2 minutes.
2.17 Thumb-press BL19 for 1.5-3 minutes.
2.18 Thumb-press BL20 for 1-2 minutes.
2.19 Both thumbs-press BL24 of both sides for 2-3 minutes.
2.20 Both palms push Bladder Meridian of Foot-Taiyang (from BL20 to Pangguangshu (BL28)) for 5-7 times.
Modification for hypertension:
1. Both middle fingers-press and knead both Taiyang for 1 minute.
2. Index finger and middle finger press and knead BV20 for 1 minute.
3. Both thumbs-press and knead GB20 for 1 minute.
4. Both thumbs push Qiaogong of both sides respectively for 10-15 times.
5. Thumb-press KI1 for 3-4 minutes.
Modification for palpitation:
1. Thumb-press Yintang for 5-10 times.
2. Push forehead and eyebrow for 5-10 times respectively.
3. Press HT7 for 2-4 minutes.
Modification for insomnia:
1. One finger-push from Yintang to GV24 and back for 5-6 times.
2. Push from Yintang to Taiyang through eyebrows for 5-6 times.
3. Press-knead BL2 for 1-2 minutes.
4. Press-knead GV24 for 1-2 minutes.
5. Press-knead TE20 for 1-2 minutes.
6. Hold GB21 for 2-3 minutes.
