Internal Medicine
1. Chronic superficial gastritis
Dr.Suo often uses the method of clearing heat, soothing stomach, drying damp and promoting spleen to adjust three jiao, the prescription should be Decoction of Pueraria, Scutellaria and Coptis combining with Peptic Powder and with modification. The basal prescription including: Ge Gen, Huang Qin, Hang Lian, Hu Zhang, Hou Pu, Cang Zhu, Fu Ling, Chen Pi charcoal, Jiao San Xian, Sha Ren, Xiang Fu, fresh Da Huang, adding fresh Shi  Gao if the stomach-heat is more severe; replacing Huang Qin and Huang Lian by Wu Yu and Gan Jiang if the patient with stomach-cold; adding Lai Fu Zi, Ji Nei Jin if the patient with food stagnation; adding Da Fu Pi and Bing Lang if the patient with abdominal distention; adding Ren Shen, Huang Qi and Bai Zhu if the patient with qi deficiency; adding Shi Hu, Yu Zhu and Maidong if the patient with yin deficiency.

2. Chronic atrophied gastritis

Dr.Suo takes the method of tonifying yin with sweet-cold herbs. The basal prescription including: Tai Zi Shen, Fu Ling, Yu Zhu, Mai Dong, Sha Shen, Ge Gen, Huo Xiang, Shi Hu, Bai Zhu. Adding fresh Huang Qi, Sheng Ma, Zhi Gan Cao if the qi deficiency is more severe; adding Hua Fen, Zhi Mu if the symptome of dry mouth is severe; adding Wu Mei, Bai Shao, Wu Wei Zi and Mu Gua if the patient with hypochlorhydria; adding Yu Li Ren and Huo Ma Ren if the patient has the symptome of dry stools; adding Bai Shao, Sha Ren and Zhu Ru if the patient has the symptome of nausea; adding Hu Zhang and Bai Hua She She Cao if the patient has inflammation in stomach; adding Fo Shou, Xiang Yuan and Hou Pu Hua if the patient has the symptom of distention sensation on both hypochondriums; adding Bai He, Lian Xin, Zhu Ye and Dou Chi if the patient with upsetting sensation; adding Jie Geng, Xuan Fu Hua, Ju Ye if the patient with fullness sensation on chest; adding Du Zhong, Sang Ji Sheng, Tu Si Zi, Huang Jing if the patient is elder and with kidney deficiency.

3. Bile refluent gastritis
Dr.Suo believes the pathology for bile refluent gastritis is liver-qi obstruction, hyperactive gallbladder-fire attacking the stomach, failure of stomach on sending down, disharmony between the liver and the stomach regarding TCM differentiation. The treatment method should be soothing the liver and harmonizing the stomach. We use the prescription of Bupleurum Powder for Relieving Liver qi, the herbs including Chai Hu, Xiang Fu, Yu Jin, Chuan Lian Zi, Jin Qian Cao, Fu Ling, Huang Qin, Huang Lian, Yin Chen, Zhu Ru, Huo Xiang, Hou Pu.
