Back pain is very commonly seen disease lasting long time, patient mostly feels pain, cold sensation on the back and irritability.
There are 61 patients with 9 male and 52 female; youngest 27 and oldest 56; 7 male are driver, back pain on female is mostly caused by wind and cold invasion after baby delivery; shortest pain 6 months and longest 15 years.
Treatment method:
Points: according to diseased area, we choose 4 to 6 corresponding Hua Tuo Jia Ji points.
Manipulation: Patient takes face down lying posture, puts pillow below chest, places arms straightly downward, then we do sterilization on points with 2% of iodine and 75% of alcohol, we burn fire needle and quickly insert and withdraw fire needle on points with 0.3 to 0.5 cun deep. Treatment is done once every other day, 10 times of treatment is one course.
Precaution: patient should take comfortable posture, we can not insert fire needle into blood vessel; needle should be fired enough, otherwise it is difficult to insert needle and patient feels painful; we should insert shallow depth on the back because there are important internal organs inside.
Effect standard:
Cured – all of symptoms are disappeared, nothing happens after overwork and weather change or in the following one year.Improved – all of symptoms are disappeared, but back pain comes back after overwork or weather change.
No effect – no improvement after treatment.
Treatment result:Effective rate is 100%, cured rate is 93.4% (57); improved rate is 6.6% (4). Effect has no relation with age and duration of disease. 78.9% of patients get satisfied treatment result after 10 times of acupuncture treatment.Typical case introduction:Female, 30 years old, main complains: cold sensation and pain on back more than 2 years. In recent days, she feels more cold sensation and pain. X-ray test is normal. Diagnosis is back pain. We use 3 to 4 Hua Tuo Jia Ji points symmetrically, cold sensation and pain are reduced after one time of acupuncture treatment, she recovers from disease after seven times, and we do two times more to consolidate effect, back pain does not happen in the following one year.
