Objective: To search for an effective therapy for protrusion of lumbar disks．
Method: 116 patients who suffered from the disease of protrusion of lumbar disks are divided into treatment group (66 patients) and control group (50 patients). They receive either treatment of acupoints on the same nerve segment or regular treatment (For protrusion of lumbar disks on L3/L4, select 1.8 cun lateral to spinous process of L3. For protrusion of lumbar disks on L4/L5, select 2 cun lateral to inferior of spinous process of L4. For protrusion of lumbar disks on L5/S1, select 1.8 cun lateral to inferior of spinous process of L5). We observe clinic effect after 2 and 3 courses.
Result: The cure rates of 2 and 3 courses on treatment group are 90.9% and 74.2%, it is obvious better than that of control group (66.0% and 32.0%). The differences are obvious significant (P<0.01).
Conclusion: It is an effective treatment method of selection of acupoints on the same nerve segment to treat protrusion of lumbar disks.
