Helix 4-6 (MA9)

Acupuncture Ear Points

Location:
A line drawn on the helix between the lower border of the tubercle of the helix and the midpoint of the lower rim of the lobe is separated into five equal sections. The six points thus delineated are, from top to bottom, Helix 1, Helix 2, Helix 3, Helix 4, Helix 5, Helix 6.

Function: 
Nourishing yin and clearing heat, and reinforcing body resistance to eliminate pathogens.

Indications: 
Fever, tonsillitis, upper respiratory tract infection, and pharyngitis.
