Treatment of acute conjunctivitis given by ear point’s irradiation of He-Ne laser (285 cases)Posted by: admin on Feb 23, 2008 - 08:04 PM1 Data There are totally 285 patients with 160 male and 125 female; oldest is 73 years old and youngest is 5. 2 Treatment method We applied 7 milliwatts He-Ne laser apparatus with 6328A light length and 3mm spot diameter, used fiber to guide light to directly irradiate ear points including eye 1, eye 2 and eye area of left side. Irradiation of each point is 15 minutes, treatment is once a day, and 7 times are considered as one course. 3 Effect Cured -- after 3 days, pain of eyes, aversion to light and tears are stopped; edema and congestive conjunctivas and bulbar conjunctiva are disappeared. Obvious effective -- after 5 days, pain of eyes, aversion to light and tears are stopped, edema and congestive conjunctivas and bulbar conjunctiva are relieved. Improved -- after 7 days, pain of eyes, aversion to light and tears are relived; edema and congestive conjunctivas and bulbar conjunctiva are also relieved. 4 Result Among 285 patients, 138 cured, 95 obvious effective, 52 improved.
